Maxim Seredkin

Maxim Seredkin is Technical Director of Koktenkol Resources, coordinating every technical workstream on the project — geology, mining, metallurgy and economic assessment — and advising across the wider group's assets including Brandberg, Karkara, Saryshagan and Kyzylkol.

He brings more than 25 years in exploration, resource and mining geology, processing and hydrometallurgy, technical research and project management. His central focus is hydrometallurgical methods, including in-situ recovery, applied to uranium, copper, gold, nickel-cobalt, tungsten, rare earths and scandium, alongside geometallurgy, hydrogeology and mine economics.

Before Koktenkol he was Geoscience/Technical Director at CSA Global / ERM in Perth, delivering public reporting and studies worldwide, and previously headed geology and subsoil use at ARMZ Uranium Holdings (Rosatom), directing an exploration programme of up to US$60 million a year and setting resource strategy for ARMZ and Uranium One. Earlier he was chief geologist for bauxite exploration in Guinea and a scientific officer at the Russian Academy of Sciences.

He holds a PhD and BSc (Hons) in geosciences from Lomonosov Moscow State University, won the President's prize for the best PhD in Earth Sciences in 2001, is a Fellow of the AusIMM and a member of the AIG, and serves as an associated expert of the IAEA. He has published extensively and discovered the rock-forming mineral glagolevite.
